Are Two Computer Monitors Worth It? (Dual Screen Vs Ultrawide Setup)

Check on YouTube

Having two monitors gives you a lot of space to work with, it makes multi-tasking better.

Advantages:

You can move windows across screens.

When using two monitors, windows shift and then right or left is an important hot key to remember as it will move the entire window from one screen to the other.

Basic navigation should be flawless if the screens are the same size and resolution.

Some of the applications have multi-screen modes with DaVinci and Adobe Lightroom filling your second display with useful information and tools that make your work flow far easier.

Gaming gets better with multiple displays.

You can play on one while having a video on the other or monitoring your PC and game chat on the background.

Drawbacks:

Gaming across two displays at the same time is not something you can do.

You can drag your window right across the displays or set a custom resolution and run it full screen across both but unless you are using three displays the middle point is always going to be at the center where the bezels are which unusable for every game tested.

Negative health implications.

When using two monitors you have to stretch a little bit with your torso. With time you start noticing a little bit of strain appearing on your body.

The mouse can sometimes get a little bit stuck at some borders when you are mixing and matching but this is easily adjustable.

Remedies:

Bigger Display.

Thanks to 4K resolution, even a 40” + monitor can still look sharp enough to use in any application or game and can performed a host of tasks which make them have a huge following.

Ultra-Wide display.

This is usually very similar to a 27-inch monitor but it is made wider. They come in two different flavors, the ultra-wide and the supper ultra-wide.

Standard ultra-wide displays are about 1½ monitors width whereas a super ultra-wide will actually replicate two four sixteen by nine screens. Functioning nine inches across is not easy but their perfect 50/50 window split helps increase productivity.

The more normal ultra-wides are much more like jack of all trades thanks to their flexibility. They have little extra pixels real estate that make them great for single screen applications.

You can split window applications straight down the middle for having two things on the screen at the same time.

The main reason you should buy this is because you can use it for full screen applications especially gaming.

If you are a developer or a game streamer, then two monitors are certainly a no brainer.

Using two monitors will see you flick about between applications like ninja wizards.

Having a larger screen will aid your focus and will offer a far more immersive world of gaming glory.

The ultrawide is perfect for video editing and gaming.

There is no point of having two screens and have one on no signal mode, if you just play games and are not going to be doing things on the back ground then just get one screen. If you have to use two screens at the same time then get the two screens.
